MISSION: To provide a range of services for people 21 and over who are having difficulty attaining and sustaining adequate and secure accommodation, health status and personal autonomy and dignity
PHILOSOPHY: The Station Ltd. believes in:
The right of people to make choices in their own lives
The Right of people to dignity, respect, privacy and confidentiality
The right of people to be valued as individuals
The right of people to access services on a non discriminatory basis
The right of the community to accountable and responsive services
To minimise the harm and social problems to the individual and to the communtiy resulting from the use of drugs, homelessness, mental illness etc.
NEWS: What's happening at The Station Ltd.
In 2010
- Boxing Day lunch at The Station Ltd. was a success with service users enjoying a lovely Christmas lunch as well as gifts for everyone.
- Art sessions continues weekly on Tuesday mornings at the centre, lately we have been working with canvas and have some great new artworks completed by our clients during these sessions.
- Monday morning breakfast continues to be popular with our service users and we thank Brett and Resimac group for their ongoing support that makes this possible.
- We have the continued support of AMEX and DEXUS volunteers who help with serving lunch Monday to Friday.
- We are fortunate to have the continued support of The Australian Stockbrokers Foundation, Macquarie Bank, AMEX and the Rotary Club of Darling Harbour.
- Oz Harvest have been providing us with much appreciated donations from local restaurants
- Staff at The Station Ltd. look forward to fresh opportunities in 2010 and will be evaluating current recreation activities with our service users throughout February. We would like to wish service users, stakeholders and supporters of The Station Ltd. a Happy New Year and all the best for 2010!
