ABOUT US: Housing Support Program - Aims

To provide a range of services for and undertake actions on behalf of people over 21 who meet the established assessment criteria and who are at risk of being unable to maintain or sustain permanent independent housing so that:

1. Individuals will be able to maintain themselves independently in appropriate long-term housing

and


2. The client group as a whole will have more equitable access to safe, secure, affordable and permanent housing.

Housing Support Program - Objectives:

1. To provide a case-manager individual support service (including outreach)
   
2. To conduct living skills and other relevant programs to develop personal competency
   
3. To provide structured and goal-oriented group programs and sessions to meet client’s needs.
   
4. To provide relevant referrals to specialist services where required
   
5. To advocate with and on behalf of individual clients where necessary and as requested
   
6. To undertake research relevant to the housing needs of the client group
   
7. To advocate on behalf of the target group with relevant government and non-government organisations and private bodies and services
   
8. To liase with and, where appropriate, undertake collaborative action with other relevant groups and organisations.
